Welcome to Wold Newton Parish Council Website. We aim to keep you updated on the issues discussed at the meetings and any additional information about life in the Parish.    Our next meeting will be on Monday 27th January 2025 at 7.30pm - Wold Newton Community Centre.   The Parish Council will always try to do their best for the Parish and Community within. Website and Noticeboard
Our website has recently had a revamp - any new material or recommendations gratefully received - woldnewtonpc@yahoo.com.  The noticeboard in the village is available for all to use - please make sure you date items and remove any old material. 
 
Pitfield

Wold Newton Parish Council secured a grant to have some picnic benches installed at the Pitfield for the community to enjoy.  The Committee hope you will make use of them. Enjoy the view!!!  Many thanks to the volunteers from the Committee who assisted with the ground preparation and installation of them it is very much appreciated.

Help for Households: Pension credit 

Do you know someone aged 66 or over?

They may be entitled for pension credit.

Pension credit is a gateway benefit, giving

access to more support with living costs

including:  

  • Winter fuel payment  
  • TV licence (75+)  
  • Council tax reduction.

Residents can apply for pension credit online,

or by calling the pension credit helpline

on 0800 99 1234.  If you know someone who

may need help making a claim, they

can contact the council's Your Money Team.

There has been a rise in shed/ stable

burglaries reported to us by a

neighbouring force. Thieves have

targeted tools, mountain bikes,

motorcross bikes and anything of any value. 

Please be reminded to ensure that

sheds/stables are locked using high

security padlocks and belongings are

secured. We have been made aware

that is believed subjects have entered

the properties from the rear across fields
